Author’s Holiday Home Tour

December 15, 2009

Welcome to the 2009 Author’s Holiday Homes Blog Tour! See how some of your favorite Christian novelists decorate and celebrate the holiday.

Settle in for a few minutes and follow each link to see the entire tour until you’ve reached mine again, so you know you haven’t missed any. I’ll be doing that myself!

Notice two things as you view my video: sweet looking dog and lovely gingerbread house. Then scroll down to see why.

The day before this video was posted, I made the mistake of leaving the gingerbread house on a side table just at the same height of Susie’s nose. You might guess what happened: sweet Susie ATE the lovely gingerbread house. So all that’s left is the picture … Not to worry about Susie, however. I called the vet who recommended a small amount of hydrogen peroxide to bring it all up and out of her system. She’s doing fine, and all’s forgiven. Who can be upset with a dog with a tummy ache?

Merry Christmas!

Loved it, Maureen. The creche from Germany was beautiful and I liked the wrapped "present" above the fireplace!

    Merry Christmas! 🙂

The creche is one of those things that just makes me smile every time my glance lands on it. 🙂
Thanks for noticing my wrapped painting above the fireplace! I wrap as many paintings as my time and energy allow, but this year…well, just the one, I'm afraid. A March 1st deadline seems closer than ever!

Such a lovely video. Poor doggie!

For our daughter's 18th birthday I had a gorgeous cake done–it was pretty as a wedding cake, champagne flavored with raspberry filling. And our dog ate it before she ever saw it!

Oooh, Roxanne, your cake story just makes me groan! I know our dogs are fully vested members of the family, and we love them no matter what… Oh,well, they also offer fodder for great stories!

I remembered today to check out the tour. It is really amazing! Great idea and put me right into the Christmas spirit!

Too bad about the gingerbread house.

Maureen, your home is so bright and cheery! Your poor puppy! Glad you were able to help in time! Happy that my doggie doesn't eat anything laying around…aside from books!

    Merry Christmas,
