I’m so excited to be “unveiling” the new cover for my next book, Springtime of the Spirit. This book will release (appropriately enough) next Spring, in March of 2011. Since the cover is starting to pop up on sites like Christian Book Distributors and Amazon, I thought I’d share it here as well.
Isn’t it gorgeous? More specifically, isn’t she gorgeous?
The photo shoot at Tyndale took place while I was still in the editing process, and when my editor shared the preliminary cover with me, I was thrilled—and also grateful to have it while I was working. Having it next to me allowed the same clear picture to be in my head that readers will have for the heroine, Annaliese, as they read her story.
I was even able to match the description of the clothing she’s wearing, right down to the brooch she’s wearing at her neckline, which was added intentionally because it plays a small part in the story. This is the first time my cover will match with so much detail to the text in the book, and I couldn’t be happier.
I don’t care how many books an author writes, each new cover is just as exciting as the first!
