The First Christmas: Day Three in the Pearl Girls 12 Days of Christmas

December 15, 2010

Better late than never, I always say! Here it is lunchtime and I’m only now getting to today’s posting. The good news is that along with the Pearl Girl’s Christmas posting (and the contest associated with that) I’ll be starting a contest of my own today.

Starting today and running through Sunday evening December 19th (8 p.m. Central time), if you leave a comment on my blog (yes, the actual blog, sorry no Facebook comments count, it just gets too confusing to compile the names for a random drawing) you’ll be entered to win a copy of either Whisper on the Wind, which is in stores now, or Springtime of the Spirit, which will start shipping in February. (So the winner of that book will have to wait until I get my hands on a copy, but as I also say, good things come to those who wait. Hey, how many cliches can I fit into this blog posting, anyway?) I’ll be giving away one copy of Whisper on the Wind and two copies of Springtime of the Spirit, the latter to ship in 2011. To comply with contest rules, your chances of winning depend upon how many enter, and are not subject to any purchase. This contest was first announced in my newsletter, so if you don’t already subscribe, please do!

Hi Maureen, Thanks for posting this.

Thanks to Pat for posting this thoughtful and inspirational Christmas story.

I don't have time to read many blogs these days but I do enjoy visiting this one. It never fails to inspire. Cheers~

I love the idea of "entertaining angels" and was shown the joy of hospitality every Thanksgiving when my parents would invite a "single" or "widowed" person from church to sit at our table every year. Our parents truly are a blessing and often it isn't until they are gone that we embrace all that we learned from them.

I just wanted to say (not a comment on this blog, which I will have to read later) that your new art work is beautiful. I love the new design for Look to the East.

Thank you for the contest. I love the series and can't wait for Springtime of the Spirit!

I also have been doing the Pearl Girls posts and truly enjoy them. I loved today's reminder to include others in our holidays rather than just our small family circle. It's a wonderful reminder!

    Blessings

I wanted to thank you all for stopping in, despite my technology troubles! Hopefully I'll figure it out and things will be back to normal soon. 🙁
